Fall 2023

Tyson Travelers

The Tyson Travelers meet monthly to explore different countries, cultures, and time periods through crafts, foods, and games. Last year the travelers stamped their passports in Greece, France, and even in the United States Civil War Era. Sign up for this fun program to see where they’ll visit this year!

Kids in the Kitchen – *Waitlist*

Kids in the Kitchen is a limited series that will occur twice a month. Throughout these programs, the kids will learn how to cook, clean up their kitchen messes, and how to be safe while preparing food. Registration is required.

Monthly Saturday Programs

Throughout the academic year, Tyson Library hosts several Saturday programs and activities. These monthly events are often scheduled (and themed) around upcoming holidays or the season, but not always! Activities like our 5th Saturday Cinema, Easter Program, and Breakfast with Santa are some examples.

We encourage our patrons to check back here on our website for more details about our Monthly Saturday Programs that are announced as the year goes on. Many of these events require pre-registration due to limited space.

5th Saturday Cinema

We show a movie on every 5th Saturday. There will be an online registration for each event, and every person who comes will get one free drink and popcorn to enjoy!

The months with 5th Saturdays in 2023 are April, July, September, and December.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten

The American Academy of Pediatrics promotes reading aloud to children daily, beginning in infancy. Learn how to participate in this free program and download your tracking sheet today by clicking here! (We also have information packets and tracking sheets available at the check-out desk.)

We also post information about these (and all other) events on our Facebook Page, so be sure to follow us there, too!
