Tyson Library Borrower’s Card Policy


Materials in the Tyson Library may be borrowed by anyone with a valid Tyson Library borrower’s card.


Obtaining a Tyson Library Borrower’s Card


Anyone may register to obtain a Tyson Library borrower’s card.  Registration requires a photo ID (or parent’s signature in the case of children through the age of 15), the registrant’s name, address, and telephone number.  Parents must be present to sign for a child’s card.


The following fees apply for obtaining a borrower’s card:

Residents, those who live within Tyson Library's district of Johnson township and the townships of Brown, Shelby and Otter Creek for which the library has a service agreement:   map of Tyson Library district


Non-residents, those who live outside of the library's townships (as indicated above): $61.00

Valid Time Period and Renewal of Borrower’s Card


Adult borrower’s cards are valid for 1-year.  The renewal fee is the same as the card fee indicated above.


Children’s cards are valid until the child’s 16th birthday.



Replacement of Lost or Damaged Borrower’s Card


There is a $2.00 fee for issuance of a replacement borrower’s card for all ages.
