Tyson Library welcomes the support of any individual whether the help is physical or financial. Friends can foster a closer relationship between the library and the community, focus attention on library services, and aid in obtaining materials and gifts for the library.
What can I do?
- Monetary donation
- Donate materials
Volunteering for the library does not commit you to any number of hours or time. The library will work with you to match schedules to everyone’s benefit, during regular library hours. You can work with children or adult programs, help at the front desk, or the annual book sale. Are you an avid collector or enthusiast and would like to show the community? We are always looking for presenters throughout the year. Contact the library for more details!
Monetary donations are always welcome — in any amount. While we are grateful to the Tyson-Versailles Fund and Thompson Trust for ongoing support, there are always added needs. Tyson Library has established an endowment fund through the Ripley County Community Foundation (RCCF) to assist you in making your pledge/bequest.
Donations of books and materials are always welcome. If donated books are in good condition and can be circulated, the library will add them to the collection. If an item is already in the library’s collection the item will be included in the next library book sale which raises funds for additional library materials and programs. The library also gratefully accepts craft supplies such as glue, construction paper, and other items that would help with our programming. As we now only circulate DVDs in our movie collection, we no longer have a need for VHS tapes. Thank you for your continued support!
